Preparation of the Surface
Every surface must be compact, smooth, loadbearing,
dry, clean and without any film (grease,
dust, etc.) which would reduce adhesiveness.
Apply TO-TM mineral/polymer plaster to a reinforced
layer of TO-KU universal adhesive which
has been treated with TO-GS contact primer. The
reinforced layer can be primed after at least 3
days after it is made. Apply the plaster after the
primer is completely bonded with the surface, no
earlier, however, than approx. 24 hours after the
priming has been completed (in adverse conditions,
this duration may be extended).
Clean and level old “loose” plaster, peeling paint
and other dirt before applying TO-TM mineral/
polymer plaster to other surfaces. Minor uneven
spots and cavities may be repaired with TOKU
universal adhesive. TO-TM mineral/polymer
plaster can be applied on concrete, cement or
cement/lime plaster surfaces after approx. 28
days. Before applying TO-TM mineral/polymer
plaster, treat absorbent surfaces (e.g. aerated
concrete) with TO-GU universal primer, and nonabsorbent
and/or smooth surfaces (e.g. concrete,
reinforced concrete) with TO-GS contact primer. Do the priming at least 24 hours before starting
the plastering.
Implementation
Pour the bag content into a vessel with the recommended
quantity of water and mix for 3-5 minutes
with a low-speed electrical mixer until smooth
paste-like consistency is achieved. Put aside the
plaster for approx. 2-3 minutes and mix again. Do
not add more water than the specified quantity.
Prepare portions which will be used within approx.
2 hours. Stir the plaster which has thickened in
the meantime without adding water.
Apply the plaster on the surface with a steel trowel
to the grain thickness. The required structure is
obtained by rubbing in the layer applied with a
plastic trowel. In order to eliminate traces of joints,
it is necessary to apply separate architectural
elements in one working cycle by means of socalled
“wet on wet” method, retaining uniform
consistency of the plaster of the same date of
manufacture. In order to avoid visible differences
in the successive cycles of applying the plaster on
one surface, use plaster of the same manufacturing
batch and the same consistency. Do not
sprinkle the plaster with water.
Protect the applied plaster against direct exposure
to sunlight, rain and wind by applying protective
sheeting on the scaffolding.
Do not use rusted or dirty tools. Rinse off fresh
smudges with water. After it hardens, the plaster
can only be removed mechanically.
Do not mix the plaster with cement, lime, sand,
other plasters, mortars and chemical additives.
During the work and while the plaster is drying,
the temperature of the surface and the environment
should be between +5°C and +30°C. The plaster can be painted with Termo Organika
paints: silicone TO-FS or polysilicate TO-FP, at
the earliest three days after the plastering work
has been completed.
Caution
The product contains cement and, after mixing
with water, it creates an alkaline reaction. Do not
inhale the dusts and avoid being splashed with
the mortar. In case of contact of the product
with eyes or skin, rinse them with plenty of water
and consult a doctor, wash the skin with water
and soap. Keep away from children.
During work, wear protective clothing and eye
protectors
User safety
In addition to the above recommendations, follow
good building practice and work-safety rules. The
manufacturer warrants the quality of the product
but has no influence on the manner, place and
conditions of its storage and application. Building
work should be done by professionally qualified
contractors.
