TO-TA acrylic plaster is part of the Termo Organika® thermal insulation system. It can also be used for making thin-layer plaster coating on mineral base surfaces, e.g. concrete, old cement, cement/lime, and other plasters and also on other surfaces, e.g. those covered with paint, plasterboards, wood-like panels, etc.

Technical data

Temperature of application and surface: +5°C ÷ +25°C
Drying time: approx. 24 hours*)
Complete hardening: approx. 48 hours*)
Estimated consumption:
- Grain size 1,5 mm2,3 - 2,8 kg/m2
- Grain size 2,0 mm2,8 – 3,3 kg/m2
- Grain size 2,5 mm3,5 – 4,0 kg/m2
- Grain size 3,0 mm4,2 – 4,7 kg/m2
Storage: 24 months from date of manufacture, in original, sealed packaging, in dry and cool conditions. Do not store the palettes one on top of another. Protect against frost and direct exposure to sunlight.

*)Depending in humidity and temperature. Low temperature and high humidity can make this duration up to several times longer.

 Preparation of the Surface

Every surface must be compact, smooth, load-bearing, dry, clean and without any film (grease, dust, etc.) which would reduce adhesiveness. Apply TO-TA acrylic plaster to a reinforced layer of TO-KU universal adhesive which has been treated with TO-GS contact primer. The reinforced layer can be primed after at least 3 days after it is made. Apply the plaster after the primer is completely bonded with the surface, no earlier, however, than approx. 24 hours after the priming has been completed (in adverse conditions, this duration may be extended). Clean and level old “loose” plaster, peeling paint and other dirt before applying TO-TA acrylic plaster to other surfaces. Minor uneven spots and cavities may be repaired with TO-KU universal adhesive. TO-TA acrylic plaster can be applied on cement or cement/lime plaster surfaces after approx. 28 days, on concrete surfaces after approx. 3 months. The humidity of the surface should not exceed 4%. Before applying TO-TA acrylic plaster, treat absorbent surfaces (e.g. aerated concrete) with TO-GU universal primer, and non-absorbent and/or smooth surfaces (e.g. concrete, reinforced concrete) with TO GS contact primer. Do the priming at least 24 hours before starting the plastering.

 Implementation

Mix the content of the container thoroughly. The consistency can be adjusted by pouring a little water (max. 1%) and mixing again. Apply the plaster on the surface with a steel trowel to the grain thickness. The required structure is obtained by rubbing in the layer applied with a plastic trowel. In order to eliminate traces of joints, it is necessary to apply separate architectural elements in one working cycle by means of so-called “wet on wet” method, retaining uniform consistency of the plaster of the same date of manufacture. In order to avoid visible differences in the successive cycles of applying the plaster on one surface, use plaster of the same manufacturing batch and the same consistency. Do not sprinkle the plaster with water. Protect the applied plaster against direct exposure to sunlight, rain and wind by applying protective sheeting on the scaffolding. Do not leave the packaging open. After it has been opened, use as soon as possible. Do not use rusted or dirty tools. Rinse off fresh smudges with water. After it hardens, the plaster can only be removed mechanically. Do not mix the plaster with other plasters, mortars, pigments, additives, etc. During the work and while the plaster is drying, the temperature of the surface and the environment should be between +5°C and +25°C, and relative humidity should not exceed 80%.

 Caution

In case of contact of the product with eyes or skin, rinse them with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Keep away from children. During work, wear protective clothing and eye protectors.

 User safety

In addition to the above recommendations, follow good building practice and work-safety rules. The manufacturer warrants the quality of the product but has no influence on the manner, place and conditions of its storage and application. Building work should be done by professionally qualified contractors. The conditions for the preparation of the plaster and method of its application may have an effect on the colour obtained, which may differ from the colour in the colour chart. Minor differences in the colour shade do not constitute a product defect.
